Our joint Recommended Lighting Practices report lays out best practices for operators in West Texas so that they can continue production while protecting the environment and preserving the dark skies that are vital to the McDonald Observatory’s important work. It is the responsibility of all of us to seek creative and efficient ways to protect our state’s great landscape, and initiatives like this show that much good can be accomplished when we work together to develop solutions.”
