Coastal Bend Communities Welcome MOLU to Local Elementary Schools

As the Mobile Oilfield Learning Unit makes its rounds across the Lone Star State, students are obtaining hands-on knowledge about the skillsets required for a future in the oil and natural gas industry. Local leaders are joining in on the experience and engaging with the region’s future workforce.

“I spent some time last week with the children of Zavala Elementary exploring the Mobile Oilfield Learning Unit. The MOLU is a $1.2 million exhibit that features six self-contained learning stations with curriculum-based, hands-on activities about the energy, technologies and sciences involved with the oil and natural gas industry.”

– Corpus Christi City Councilman Ben Molina

Corpus Christi City Councilman Ben Molina, Port Energy Crew Member Adrianna Escamilla, and Zavala Elementary students marvel at the MOLU during its visit to the Corpus Christi area.
