Many are surprised to hear that women make up only 19% of the oil and natural gas industry’s workforce – but this number is rapidly rising. In 2013, women filled approximately 46% of open industry jobs roles in the oil and natural gas workforce.
The oil and natural gas industry offers women broad opportunities including higher salaries and benefits. Over the next 20 years more than a million oil and natural gas jobs are forecasted to open in the United States. And the different fields are endless:
