The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality strives to protect our state’s public health and natural resources consistent with sustainable economic development. Their goal is clean air, clean water, and the safe management of waste. TCEQ is the environmental agency for the state and has approximately 2,750 employees, 16 regional offices and a $368 million operating budget for the 2015 fiscal year. They have three Commissioners, Chairman Bryan Shaw, Commissioner Toby Baker, and Commissioner Jon Niermann.
